Bmx super cross

Not too many photos but also on Saturday, after soccer, and ballet then Tiago, Bita, Zico and I headed to the bmx super cross finals. At first we were just at his track watching the pros and national contests. People from Florida and all over were camped here all weekend. It was crazy but lots of fun, we got to see Tiago's "coach" win first prize and lots of kids too. Bita just loves to play in the dirt and didnt watch the races at all. Then we went to the back track, there are 3 at ths Olympic training center, 2 are Olympic replica tracks, one of bejing and the othe rof london. Once the Rio track is constructed in Rio they will tear down bejing and build a replica Rio track. This is super cross bmx, much higher staring gate, higher speeds and farther jumps, and paved corners along with different track for the women than the men. So today we got to watch the best from all over the world come together for the last race of the year so the international champions were crowned. They had Brasil, China, Itlay, USA, Ecuador, all different countries. Each racer got 3 races and the top 12 racers moved on to quarters then semis and finally the finals. We saw so many crashes and bad ones too, broke arms, collar bones, heads were ran over. It was crazy! It was hot and sandy and we were far from the car. We lasted a couple hours but left before the event was over. They had bands and vendors, there was an a fancy dinner wth inductions to the hall of fame after wards but we left. It was a long day and I just wanted to get home. We have the full day off tomorrow, papa too. Its his first one all month and we are doing nothing but staying home and bbqing with family for the Charger game. No photos, just living the moment.

Soccer Saturday

Bright and early we woke up to go to Tiago's game. It was away but since I am always the first one there I left a little later this time and was still there the same time as everyone else. It was a mellow game, we won by a lot and there was not much to argue about. Our boys played some of the nicest soccer I have seen. They made great passes and got back on defense. It was just real pretty soccer. They are still undefeated and I am so proud of them all, but of course, espcially my boy.

Friday night

After a busy day of volunteering at school, then soccer practice then a super fun school dinner fundraiser, we kept the party going and went to meet our family at the beach for some family fun. My cousins sister was in town visiting so it was nice to go to a toursity spot and enjoy our beautiful city and the best part was the kids had no idea we were going. I dont like to tell them we are going and then not go, so I didnt tell them till the last minute. We have been here plenty of times before but not with family. So it was still kind of new. I didnt take my wallet but the kids god father paid for 1 ride for them which they choose the rope climb. They loved it! So cute too, Tiago did it in flip flops which is against the rules but he did it anyways. Everyone else had food, beer, funnel cake, fudge and went on the rollar coasters but my kids were too small. We left before the rest as Tiago had an early soccer game but it was still really late and a very long day, they all feel asleep in the car.

Disney on Ice

We had a nice surprise on Thursday night of going to the ice skating show put on by disney. We went when Thais was 4 for her bday and then my mom took her last year on a Nana and Thais date, so at first just Thais wanted to go but I wanted us all to be able to go and if we went on a weeknight it was only $15 each. How ever before we left, i happen to call papa's soccer team who plays at the same arena and ask if they had any hook ups and sure enough, they gave us 5 free tickets, and not just any tickets, they were in the owners box. It was such a nice surprise! We went early and got dinner at Chili's not the brasil place which the kids were not happy about at first but we had kids eat free coupons and they had chicken and thais ate my fish and corn instead of her pizza. Im still trying to eat right and have lost 8 pounds so this was my first eat out test and I passed. It was fun, then we parked on the street instead of paying $15 to park so the whole night only costed us the price of 2 adult dinners. FANTASTIC! So blessed when things work out to the best, like this.
Bita was not too sure what was going on, Thais sang and danced the whole time while Tiago just kept looking backstage and up in the rafters to see how everything worked. It was fun, Zico was asleep for part of it, and it was weird being in the arena and not watching papa, but it was a great family night.

I love taking photos of the kids each morning for their 30 day project. We have repeated half the outfits but not the entire outfit. Like same shirt but different shorts. Hey at least its not the same 5 outfits every week.

Tiago has gotten 100% on his spelling words test each week. I am so proud, not Im hoping this helps with his reading.
