New Years Count down

I know you all will be counting down to 12am, but i am having a race with the clock to see if my husband will make it home in time for kiss me at 12 o'clock. He just played a game in Milwaukee that started at 2pm, eastern time and finished around 4:15pm. They now have to shower, eat and get on the bus. Then drive 6 hrs back to Detroit. They "should" make it in time, but mother nature had a storm coming and who knows how many times they will have to stop for gas and traffic.

So the race is on... I'll keep ya posted!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!

UPDATE: Ze just called at 8:25pm and he is 170 miles out of detroit. They are still hoping to make it. The whole bus is excited, he asked me to make dinner for they havnt stopped to eat and he said make enough for everyone, lol!

UPDATE #2: Ze is arriving at the practice facility where everyone has their cars, then will drive the 10 mins to the house. I wont believe till he walks in the door, but he's got 90mins to make it 10 miles, lol! He better not screw this up!!!

UPDATE#3: he made it home with 45mins to spare. we sat down and ate, had our friend over. Pixs tomorrow, i am exhausted, lol!

So far 2008 ROCKS!!!

2007 in review

In one sentence I would say the best moment was going to Brasil and the worst was calling 911 when Tiago was sick. But whats most important are the days we spent in between. We had a fantastic year as a family of four, who traveled all over the world. Take a moment and look back with me.

We started in Montreal adjusting to being a family of four, ok Thais had to adjust.

The kids and I flew to San Diego for 2 months, while Papa recovered from his injury.

We spent time at the beach, sea world, with friends and family.

Papa even came in for a weekend to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary.

After Ze left, me and the kids went to Utah for a few days. Tiago got to meet more relatives for the first time and Thais got to play with all of her cousins.

In April we flew back Montreal, but only for a few weeks before heading off to Harrisburg.

Finally in May it was time for Ze's 6th soccer season to begin with Montreal. We spent the summer surrounded my our Montreal family and friends. Just enjoying our days with each other and watching the kids grew, laugh and learn every day.

In a complete but welcomed surprise, in August Ze was traded to Vancouver, so off we went. We were sad to leave but excited to be reunited with so many of our old friends and the chance to explore yet another Canadian city.

It was only 2 months later that playoffs were over and we packed all of our belongings and shipped them to Michigan for the indoor/ winter season. But before we flew to Michigan for the winter, our family of four took our first ever trip to BRASIL. I met my in laws for the first time, Ze went home for the first time in 7 yrs, the kids met and played and got to know all of their aunts, uncles, cousins and country. For over 2 weeks we sat and enjoyed Brasil to the fullest. It was hard to leave but we had to come back and Ze had to get back to doing what he loves to do and thats play soccer for a living.

But we didnt sit still for long. We had Halloween in Detroit,

Thanksgiving in San Diego

and spent a weekend in New Jersey.

And lastly..... we celebrated Tigo's 1st bday

and then Christmas

and tomorrow it will be New Years. Where then 2008 comes and we see where life takes us. Right now we have plans to go to Chicago, Utah, Puerto Rico, Texas and San Diego all before June. So thanks for being a part of our 2007 and hope to see you around in 2008. We love you!!!!

-Ze Roberto, Heather, Thais y Tiago

Fun @ home

With the cold weather and snow or rain almost everyday we tend to stay indoors when we can. But that doesnt mean we dont have fun. Just look at these pixs. Tiago loves to talk on the phone, he has called his California family several times in just the last few days and Thais jumps and runs all over. Hence the mystery burn she has on her face. We have no idea where it came from, but as usual, she never once complained. The kids for the most part love each other !!!!
