My Brother Tony

In this life, we met many, many people, but few actually touch our lives. This past Sunday, the world lost a truly special person, in that of Tony Nyamweya. We met on Christmas Eve 2002, when I picked him up from the airport, fresh off the plane from Kenya, and sadly he left my life just 1 week before our 3 year anniversary of knowing each other. Tony was a part of my entire family, he even video taped my family's special events, including my wedding. Every time I watch my wedding, I will hear and see Tony. Sadly Tony moved away this past year to the East coast and I didnt get to see him as much, but luckily I did see him when i was 5 months pregnant with my first child. The photo I have in my gallery is of that day, the last time I saw Tony. But we spoke very often and I always felt that Tony and i were responsible for so many of our friends, he loved taking care of people and making sure everyone else was happy. He did everything for everyone, with not a thought of how it would effect his life. He is everyones big brother and even now will be watching over all of us, still being my protective big brother. And I can find happiness in that. Tony always had a huge smile and solved everything with his laugh. We have way to many memories to share here, but from bonfires on the beach, clubs, after parties, his dorm room, and even our lunch dates or church or our hour long conversations on the phone when we couldnt be together, i cheerish each and every minute of them. He was always the first to share my big news with and now I know he still will be. Tony I love you brother and we all miss you dearly. May you rest in peace and God bless your soul.
