Beach Day

The summer is ending, its our last weekend before school starts and its a holiday one which means I refuse to go to the beach when it is crowded so we went today instead. We met our friends there and while we didnt stay very long we stayed just long enough, good thing too because once we got home I saw on the news that there was a shark sighting and the beach was being evacuated. Sharks are extremely rare in San Diego but the waves are really high right now and the water is extremely warm since it has been so hot here for a few weeks now, I guess the sharks are venturing where they usually dont go. It also how ever makes the ocean a great place for swimmers and surfers right now so its a tough call. We had fun, I always make sure that someone is farther out than we are so if a shark does come im hoping they go for them not me lol!

The beach was fun and relaxing. I have been pretty stressed the last few days with work and bills and working out and just feeling overwhelmed so I said screw it and went to my happy place which is the water and it worked beautifully. We even came home and went swimming. It was just exactly what I needed and now I am renewed and ready for the next chapter in our lives!

Baby girl is covered in double shade at the beach. Can anyone count how many times she has been to the beach now because I have lost track

This is a horrible pix but I love it, holding hands with my big girl, at the beach ready to jump the waves

She is so silly jumping waves with the body board

Tatiana up close and personal

In the waves in her soccer diaper too!

Nana and baby

Odd story which I still dont know the truth but guys in suits were at the beach with surf boards and binoculars. So weird!

Thais has out grown and worn out most of her suits but we found this one in a box and she loves it

Our new pool bed, kids love this!

Bee-tah

I thought I should write and show a little about Tatiana whom we call Bee-tah. Its actually papa who calls her "bebita" which is "bebe" means baby and "ita" added to the end means little, so little baby but its pronounced "bee-tah" for all you none latin people. She is close to being 6 months old and is becoming her own little person. She is talking aka blabbering and yelling all the time. We sit her with her toys on the ground and she plays by herself for up to 30 minutes. She loves to watch and laugh at her siblings who love talking to her in high pitch baby voices, Thais still sings to her. Tatiana will smile at everyone and loves to giggle. She still loves to look upside at people she sleeps longer if held but we do set her down once awhile for naps. At night she is sleeping on our bed but by herself and for longer stretches at night. She is so happy and content, I cant even begin to tell you how much she loves the water. Pools, beaches, showers, baths, anything! She loves toys that light up and make sounds but her fav toy is still just a water bottle, she is totally fascinated by them and I use them all the time. She does not have problems with strangers as long as she has a full belly, all the moms at Thais's cheer adore her. She has one curl on the side of her head thats from her papa as I have the straightest hair possible which I get from my dad. She is still breast feeding and after throwing up cereal twice we stopped trying to feed her but she does love to suck on stuff like bread, oranges, otter pops, just about anything once then she is over it. Not sure how we are ever going to get this girl to eat solids. She loves to suck on her fingers, even though her vampire tooth broke through it hasnt broke any further neither have any of her other teeth so she is still smiling with a toothless grin. She likes to play with her feet when on her back she can roll over back to front and front to back and is not trying to crawl when on her belly which isnt much so instead when she is sitting she is scooting forward with a little hop. In the video below you can sort of see it. She is a chub and close to 20 pounds, she loves balls and chews on everything. She is fascinated by dogs but loves to pull their hair so we dont let her too close but we do let her pull her siblings hair and anyone who holds her i warn them to remove their earrings as she likes to pull on those too. She is becoming our little trouble maker and I love it because she is just so cute in doing it that not once have we ever been mad at her for any of it. How can you be mad at that smile?

Monday Milestone

I am so far behind on Milestone but I will try to catch up for next week! Kids are saying and doing amazing things but for now this little baby got intro trouble today when I was driving to a meeting (another story for another time) and I handed the baby a card to look at and play with while I drove knowing she would fall asleep on the drive down and when i got there and she woke up, I looked at her face to see white stuff all over it then looked at the card and figured out this little bugger ate it. Bad mommy mistake I know, lesson learned, I didnt know it wasnt bitable or that she would even bite it with her gummy smile lol!

Sunday Church & Swimming

I am all about documentation and our church is being upgraded. So I wanted to take a few before photos because this is my church. I had my 1st communion in this church when I was in 2nd grade, I had my confirmation at 16, I got married in this same church at 26 and some time in the next few months my daughter will be baptized in this same church. Once it is changed, it wont be the same church. It will have the same name and the same location but not the same. Its never been a fancy church but I have so many memories in it and i enjoy going there with my kids each Sunday, I am excited for the new but will always miss the old.

This is Thais's dress she wore at 6 months I will take better pixs when Tatiana turns 6 months but she is just too cute in it!

We tried to give her bananas but I dont think she liked it much

Then we all went swimming, as we have done the last 4 days in a row, Tatiana loves the water

Who knew diving rings were also good for teething rings?

Saturday Soccer

2nd to last game of the season.... and Papa was the coach. We held them to 0-0 for the first half then our kids got tired. It was the hottest day of the year and we were playing at noon, doesnt help. Tiago was a super star as always except his papa put such pressure on him that he got a little carried away and the more he got tired the more he used his hands to grab other players as they ran past him. Its a great skill to learn but just not at the age of 4. He did fantastic though, and it gave me a preview of our future years to come. One more game then hopefully onto a new team where they might actually win. I was supposed to sign Tiago up for AYSO outdoor but i missed the registration and when I did get a hold of someone they told me all team were full and to try another neighborhood. I was so mad Im thinking just staying where he is and trying outdoor next year and papa is supposed to start coaching with a new soccer club in our neighborhood. We will see what happens, they have a bye for the holiday weekend then his last game the following week. To see how far my little man has come in these 2 short seasons, he amazes me every game.

You can see he is playing with bigger kids still

hands out even on the girls lol!

Stacy on the sidelines, papa on the field and Tiago with a super soccer kick

Hands up again but showing his great skill for shielding the ball

He loves to play defense and goalie here he is clearing the ball out of his box as defense

Going to goal but he has to get his head up, the keeper saved it

Notice the hands again

and his shielding skills

and the hands again lol! See a pattern?

Hard to read I know but this is an article in our local newspaper about the soccer club papa will be coaching

Also when Tiago had his soccer game, we also had a big moment in the fact that I left the baby for a few hours that morning. I pumped milk in case she got hungry while I was gone, cleaned the bottle, everything was set. Stacy and I left to go to a food handling class so we can volunteer to serve food at Charger games for Thais cheer fundraiser. We met papa and the kids at Tiago's game. I was so worried and nervous but she ended up not even wanting to eat not even during Tiago's game when I was with her. So when we got home I didnt want the milk to go to waste so I had my mom try to feed her with the bottle. She took a little but most of it went down her chin and chest. Hey we tried but I now know Im not ready to leave her again like that, at least not yet.

Catch Up

Still cleaning up and recovering here sorry if these next few blog posts are boring but everything is so blurred right now with so much going on, im trying to sort it all out.

I do not want another puzzle in my house after that 1000 piece puzzle but the library now has puzzles the kids love to do when we go there now

The local grocery store- reopened and had clowns and balloons

Tatiana is too shy for pictures right now

In case you didnt know Tatiana is in a study and she rocks at it. They always say they have to make the tests harder for her. This isnt her actual study this was one down the hall when Tiago had to go pee but I thought Einstein Study was cute so I snapped this pix instead.

The sunset where I have been running lately, just amazing!

This stuff is from Utah, you will always find it in my Grandma's fridge and I finally thought to bring it home. Im putting it in everything lol! toast, english muffins, bagels, biscuits, you name it, its on it!

My fashion princess wanted to wear a scarf like her twin doll. so be it!

Tuesday

Im pretty lost on days and things right now, it will take a week to catch up from our week away. Isnt that what they always say, you need a vacation after you get back from your vacation? Here are a few photos from the lst few days all from my phone by the way because after Utah im over taking photos lol!

Cant remember if I mentioned it here but Tiago's hand was still swollen so we headed to the doctor. Yep went to the doctor the day before we left for vacation and the day after we got back. One of Tiago's bug bites got infected and his hand is super swollen so we got meds and it seems to be helping. He is allergic to penicillin so getting him antibiotics is a mess. most pharmacies dont want to give you something with out totally freaking you out first about what his reactions could be. Well hello, I know his reactions, oh well he is on the road to recovery and im getting to know my pedi real well with 3 kids now.

My BFF from 2nd grade had her baby shower, she was my first friend when I moved to this neighborhood in 2nd grade and while we have years where we dont talk we always pick right back up. Im am so excited for her and that I am able to be here to be a part of it. All 4 of us went to high school together

My boy Dom whom I have known since 6th grade and I am bff with his older brother too.

Watching the Chargers game on tv, papa put Tatiana to sleep on the pool table she didnt mind one bit. Im telling you she sleeps better on tables and floors than in my bed.

We went and saw the last free movie of the summer today, then went for free pizza at the rec center. I couldnt get over how amazingly beautiful my "2" daughters are. Im still getting used to having 2 daughters and its almost been 6 months.

This is my new fav family picture! I guess I should say our only recent photo of our family of 5

You know things in our life never go as planned but thats ok because we are here and i wouldnt change it for the world!
