2nd to last game of the season.... and Papa was the coach. We held them to 0-0 for the first half then our kids got tired. It was the hottest day of the year and we were playing at noon, doesnt help. Tiago was a super star as always except his papa put such pressure on him that he got a little carried away and the more he got tired the more he used his hands to grab other players as they ran past him. Its a great skill to learn but just not at the age of 4. He did fantastic though, and it gave me a preview of our future years to come. One more game then hopefully onto a new team where they might actually win. I was supposed to sign Tiago up for AYSO outdoor but i missed the registration and when I did get a hold of someone they told me all team were full and to try another neighborhood. I was so mad Im thinking just staying where he is and trying outdoor next year and papa is supposed to start coaching with a new soccer club in our neighborhood. We will see what happens, they have a bye for the holiday weekend then his last game the following week. To see how far my little man has come in these 2 short seasons, he amazes me every game.
You can see he is playing with bigger kids still
hands out even on the girls lol!
Stacy on the sidelines, papa on the field and Tiago with a super soccer kick
Hands up again but showing his great skill for shielding the ball
He loves to play defense and goalie here he is clearing the ball out of his box as defense
Going to goal but he has to get his head up, the keeper saved it
Notice the hands again
and his shielding skills
and the hands again lol! See a pattern?
Hard to read I know but this is an article in our local newspaper about the soccer club papa will be coaching
Also when Tiago had his soccer game, we also had a big moment in the fact that I left the baby for a few hours that morning. I pumped milk in case she got hungry while I was gone, cleaned the bottle, everything was set. Stacy and I left to go to a food handling class so we can volunteer to serve food at Charger games for Thais cheer fundraiser. We met papa and the kids at Tiago's game. I was so worried and nervous but she ended up not even wanting to eat not even during Tiago's game when I was with her. So when we got home I didnt want the milk to go to waste so I had my mom try to feed her with the bottle. She took a little but most of it went down her chin and chest. Hey we tried but I now know Im not ready to leave her again like that, at least not yet.
