Blast from the Past

The best part of coming back to San Diego, besides being with my family of course, is seeing all of my friends, old and new. I have been here about 6 wks now and only got about 2 wks left so I am doing my best to see people i havnt seen yet or even see some friends several times. This week alone was a total college reunion and a high school reunion. I went to a college friends wedding and ran into a lot of people whom i hadnt seen or talked to in 7 yrs. Then I had 2 different lunch dates with people from high school and their kids. It is amazing to see and be with people who knew me when i was a kid myself and all the crazy memories we have together, but yet now we have entered another stage in our friendships and thats is our children are friends. If you would have told me 15 yrs ago, the people sitting next to me in algebra would be my future childrens play dates, i would have said you were crazy, yet here it is..... and im so thankful!!!! here is to another 20 yrs or more!!!!
To Nick from college in Kenya, Gabe from class of 93 in high school and to my girls Erica and Lynette...

To my cousin Chris

The war in Iraq has effected every person in this world I believe, regardless if you are for or against it, it has effected your life in some way or another.Last night, we had to say goodbye to my cousin Chris who is being deployed to Iraq for the 3rd time. So we spent the night cooking good food, drinking good drinks, playing board games and just trying to spend some nice quality family time with him before he left. For just a few hours we wanted him to enjoy himself and be surrounded by people who love him. The countdown is on for his safe return but for now we have these few photos to help us look forward to the next time we can all get together and smile and laugh together again.....WE MISS YOU CHRIS!!!!!

My water babies

I couldnt be more proud to have two water babies. I love the water myself, growing up next to the ocean and having a pool in my backyard makes water a huge part of my life. During my pregnancies i went in water a smuch as possible, weather it be the pool, lake or ocean. Every chance i got i went and now that the kids are born, i take them in the water as much as possible and i know i have created 2 wonderful water babies. Thais can not get enough, she will play in fountains, puddles, the dogs water bowl... any form of water and she is in it. Well in true southern Cali style, since we have been here I and my main cousin Rod have taken the kids to the beach or in the pool as much as possible. Even if just to put our feet in it for 5 mins, we will still go and do it. We went again today and i am seriously losing count of how many times we have gone since I have been in san diego and i couldnt be happier. Here is to 2 more weeks of as much water as possible....
Oh and we cant forget the wild life, People pay to go swimming with the dolphins, and we got them for free, right here in our own backyard!!! Can you really beat that?

Anniversary weekend

My husband flew in to spend our 2 yr anniversay weekend with me and the kids and my family. I can honestly say it was spectactular. We had our first adult only dinner ever since having kids, it was the first time we have ever had a baby sitter and we enjoyed it greatly and got to spend it with my cousins who have been married for 15 yrs. I can only Ze and I will have as happy of a marriage as them. I also have to give my own parents a shout out for being married 30 yrs.
We spent as much as we could outside, we went to the beach twice and the park once. We had people over and spent the whole afternoon sitting outside laughing the day away with our loved ones. It was such a special weekend, it was like being on vacation, our first vacation at that. It was short but sweet and thanks to all who took part in it.

Papa has arrived

My family is back together again and it brings tears to my eyes every time I even think about it. I guess you dont really know how much you missed something or someone till you are with them again. I missed my husband more than anything I have ever missed in my life, and even though it was 2am when he finally arrived, we stayed up all night like teenagers, just watching our children sleep. We woke up early and got out of the house right away and went to the beach, had lunch on the beach and went shopping. After being stuck in the snow for so long, this truly feels like a vacation, a first for our family of four. And it hasnt even been 24 hrs since he has been here. Lots of stuff going on this weekend, lots of family and friends visits and im going to enjoy each and every second of it....
