Birthday Party

My niece Ava had her 4th birthday on Wednesday, but her party was today in Long Beach at Chuck E Cheese. Coincidentally it was her mother Melissa's birth day today, so it was a 2 for 1 birthday party. As a female in my family who is 1 of 5 females born within 2 wks of each other, I know the feeling of combined birthday parties well.

My kids love Chuck E Cheese, we never went till last summer, and now we go at least once a month. Of course we usually go on a week day during lunch when we are one of few in the the entire place, but today we went on a Saturday afternoon and let me tell you, it was CRAZY!!! We rented a car and 9 of us from San Diego in 2 cars drove up for the party. While it was loud and crazy, we had a great time. Not to mention Thais and Ava love playing with each other. Who doesnt have a great time at Chuck E Cheese? I didnt get a ton of pictures, but I know my aunt did, so I will get them from her before she flies back home to Utah and post later.

After about 2 hours and not being able to hear myself think, we drove over to a nearby beach and play ground and hung out as a family before the 90 minute drive home. The kids did really good though, Thais didnt nap till close to 6pm and Tiago finally feel asleep about 5pm and missed the whole park, but honestly over all, it was great time. I know I say it often, but Im truly enjoying life these days.

We have been to CEC in Tx, 2 in Ny, San Diego and now Long Beach, Ca

One of Thais's fav games. She talked about hitting the ducks all the way up in the car.

My son loves this game, because the ball always rolls back to him. He cant ever get it into any of the holes, so we sit there for ever on the same 8 balls.

and you thought Thais only dances at gym class. Im telling you, this girl is a dancing queen

Mothers Beach in Long Beach

My aunt has started writing my dogs name in all the bodies of water she visits. She was in Florida last week and wrote his name in the atlantic ocean and this week the pacific ocean. Thank you Tia and I love you Chewey!

Family Diner

I dont usually do 3 posts in one day but it was a busy day, i figured each part deserved its own post. After open gym, then lunch, the Cabrillo and during naps, I went and picked papa up from therapy, then took him to a doctor appt. I finally came home and went for a walk for over an hour before finally coming back, loading the kids up and going to Rod and Stacys for family diner. I was starving since I had been on the run all day, I hardly ate, so when I walked in to their house and saw and smelled all the great food they were cooking, i went crazy and ate tons of it. It was soooooooooo good. All in all i think we had 13 or so people there. It was fun! I came home and passed out, i was so full, lol!

Hallway soccer is a tradition in my family

I forgot to mention Thais got into Jordans room and opened the nail polish and thought it was lip gloss. Oh yeah that was an effort to get off. My aunt took a picture so when I get it I will post it. Thankfully Thais didnt put any in her mouth, we were ok. I just plugged her nose when Stacy used the nail polish remover to wipe it all off. Oh fun times, lol!

Cabrillo

We went to Cabrillo National Monument again, this time I took my mom and her twin sister, my aunt lydia. They had a great tim, sadly we didnt have a lot of time. Last time I went with papa and the kids, i called my mom and my aunt both from there and said, next time my aunt came to visit san diego, I had to take her there, so I did and she bought us a year pass, it was only $15 for the entire yr. Fantastic price! So we took a few pixs, walked a bit, then went down to the tide pools, only it was high tide so we didnt get to see too many things, but still just the view is worth it. If you dont remember, my aunt has been battling cancer for a few years now and is now 2 months cancer free, so these moments together enjoy the simple things in life, mean the most.

I just love this pix, i cant explain it, but i love it

My aunt still found things to touch and feel, it was fun!

Friday Gym

You know its Friday when I do my gym posts. I will start with saying Thais did the best she has ever done in her Monday class. I was so proud of her. She is understanding we go twice a week and on Mondays she goes upstairs with her teacher and on Fridays she plays downstairs with her friends. She does amazing in both and doesnt complain about having to go upstairs. She is so proud of herself when she comes out of class, she comes running to me screaming, "Mommy did you see me?" My baby is getting so big. And Fridays I just enjoy watching her play with her friends, run around and be free to do what ever she wants. They are both so exhausted after the class. My aunt got to go also. So now my mom, papa, jordan, gary and now my aunt lydia.

In Mondays class with the teacher, learning new skills

Tiago isnt happy with just one ball, he had to have them all

Under the parachute, Thais was making sand angels

I had to be in the pit because Tiago fell off the edge

But then he was great! He loved going down the giant slide

She was the princess, great balance

Beach Day

I swear these are new pixs and not recycled ones. We went to my new fav beach and met my girl friend Nicole and her son Niko again, on a beautiful southern cali day in January, yet again. Just 3 wks after the last time we met. I dont take great pixs on these days because her and I are talking the whole time, so the camera hardly makes it out and when it does I dont have the patience, lol! Its actually a lot easier because Thais just plays with Niko and Tiago hangs out with Papa. We build castles, dig a small pool, play soccer, and today we saw dolphins swimming in the waves. I truly love days like today. Im really going to miss San Diego.

Arriving at the beach, papa carrying everything, lol!

There is a dolphin in the wave, if you click larger you may be able to see it.
