We did it!!
Well its been an amazing 2 yrs but we have done it. Ze and I got married, gave birth to our first born child, a baby girl Thais and now we have our son, Tiago, who was born Dec 11th, 2006. We are officially a family of four. Life couldnt feel more complete than it does right now. My babies are perfect and I couldnt have asked for a better husband.
All went well with this birth and as the first week comes to an end, I really feel good about it all. As we now turn our attention to visiting our families around the world, and sharing our kids with all of you, we know it will be quite the story to tell in a few years from now.
I have some new pixs posted at this addy...
http://homepage.mac.com/ohfive/Tiago
But I wanted to say congrats to my other preggo girls Erica and Sherice who both also gave birth this past week. Congrats Mommas and I cant wait for our kids to all get together.
My last shout out is to remember my big brother Tony who passed away 1 year ago today. As much as I have enjoyed this year and grown so much from it, it would have been even better to have shared it with him. He is in my thoughts everyday and in my heart forever. I miss him just as much today as I did the day he passed.
So as we celebrate the future and new life, we must remeber those before us and who are no longer with us.......

Its been a rough few months, but we have come together as a family and couldnt be more excited to become a family of four and gender balanced by the way too, lol!
I will be off line for a week and not able to use my cell while in the hospital, but will do my best to get back to everyone and post pixs of our precious bundle of joy as soon as i return home.
i will be spending this weekend with Thais and Ze, enjoying our last moments as a family of 3. So we will talk everyone next week, take care and keep us in your prayers....

4wks.....28 day countdown
Oh oh, where do I start??? Well in 4 wks from today, I will be holding my son in my arms (God willing of course). I can not believe we are already under a month to go. I have finally started to get ready for baby boy (still unnamed). We got Thais a new bed so her brother can use her bed. I pulled out all the infant clothing and had to rearrange drawers and furniture to make us all fit in our bedroom. I even bought him diapers, I can not get over how small they are, when was Thais ever that small????? I got new slippers and some stuff to take with me to the hospital, so to say the least.... i am finally getting my rear in gear and preparing to bring my son into this world and home to his family.
Luckily my mother is here, helping me do all this shopping and taking care of Thais since Ze is still in a cast, but hopefully that will change tomorrow when he goes to the doctor. He has had it on since August. Having him back able to drive and help with stuff will be a huge relief, but it is nice to have my mom here too.
My body is barely hanging in there... my back is the killer, but i guess being pregnant for 2 straight years will do that to you, along with chasing a toddler while pregnant. I have done much to prepare for our world traveling once our son is born, getting everyone caught up on shots and visas and passports, paying bills in advance, just trying to get it all done before our son is born, for we all know i wont have a chance after that. I even did some christmas shopping, but mainly just for the kids in the family, so excuse me now if you dont receive nothing, but im trying, lol!
Ok well day 28 is almost over, down to day 27 which will be yet another big day... each day we get closer and closer to FINALLY having our little family together. I know Ze is getting really excited and I could not do any of this without his love and support. I am truly feeling lucky these days and can not wait to meet our baby boy.......
Thats it from here... if you dont hear from me for awhile, you know why!!!!

1 yr
Where do I even begin? It has been a year since our daughter has come into our lives. I never knew how much of a postive impact she would have on the way i saw the world and lived my life. Each day she teaches me more and more why I am here. I remember the moment she took her first breath and every moment since. I am excited to see what the rest of her life will bring. We thank you all for being a piece of making her who she is and loving her across all the miles. This past year has been quite the adventure, but I promise you.... this next year will be an even greater one...

Today
Well today is a day that changed me forever, (dont get scared, its all good)
Today is my husband birthday, so the love of my life was born today although we wouldnt meet till we were 24 yrs old, i thank god for this day every day.
And on complete opposite ends of the spectrum, today is the day the other main influence in my life died. That of THE Tupac Shakur. One man was taken out of my life on this day and one man was born into my life on this day. Today is a day I celebrate every year for both those men. Check your radio and tv and i know you will hear a Pac song today, also dont forget to shout out to my husband, a big feliz cumpleanos tambien!!!!!!
In other news, life is hectic in our lil world, but so far so good. All of us have gone to a doc and all the results have been good. Its been hard with ze's leg hurt, me 6 months preg and thais running around almost turning 1, but we are handling it quite well. Just real busy, so this is my sorry to you all i have been lagging on replying to. Please understand. Gots to go, got a big day planned ahead......

THANK YOU SAN DIEGO!!!
Ok, so I think I have most of the pictures from our most recent trip to San Diego online now. There were many to choose from and thank you to all of you who sent me copies you had taken also, the more the merrier. It actually takes up 3 new albums on our web page. So there are many to look at. Take a peek!
I just want to tell everyone, thank you so much for taking time out and visiting with us. I've said it before but i cant tell you all enough how much it means to us. Living so far away from family and friends and having our children grow up away from all of you, it makes our visits even more special to us, so THANK YOU!!! i wish we could do it more often.
Thais is more mobile than ever before and the traveling and being pregnant with an infant is beginning to catch up to me. I am glad to be back with my husband and do not plan on leaving his side any time soon. Ze's season is heading to playoffs and with the team in first place with only 2 losses this season, each game is a battle. Pregnancy is going great, we are very excited with the idea of giving Thais a little brother for Christmas and making this family of 3 into a family of 4.
We hope you are all doing well and we hear from you soon.

The Good and The Bad
Well our World Cup has ended, but rightfully so. Brasil did not play well the entire tournament and i refuse to cry for a team who played with no heart. It happens, I just wish a non-euro team would win or a latin team.
Now the good news.... Thais took her first two steps. She walked by herself on Friday, June 30th, 2006 at 1:11pm. She was 8 months and 3 weeks old at the time. I never imagined her walking so early, but it couldnt have been a prouder moment for me as a mother. We also watched fireworks last night from our front door for Canada Day, and Thais loved them.
More good news... Baby ..2 is coming along just fine, we go to the doctor in 4 days and then we have our 2nd ultra sound near the end of the month. Today makes me 16 weeks pregnant, it is flying by so fast.
In life you always have the good and the bad, its how you deal with them that makes your day, though.

Amazing!!!!!!!!!!
So with no World Cup games on tv this morning, I began going through withdrawls. I realized though, its amazing what I can get done online and around the house when Im not watching world cup for 8 hours a day, lol! Although i would much rather watch world cup, but didnt have a choice today.
So, I spent the morning making a web page for our 2nd baby, complete with photos and journal. Ok off to Ze's game, you knew I couldnt go a whole day without watching some soccer, right?

Life Just Got Better
Ok so we all know the world cup has taken over my life, right? thats obvious. But life just got even better, because my husband came home with free xm radio satellite and now "IF" by chance we have to leave home while a game is on, xm radio has a fifa world cup radio station where all the games are being played live. So although we wont be able to see it, we can at least listen to it live. Can you even believe my luck? and the crazy part is since some of our friends dont have cars up here, they gave us their extra xm radios too. Ze's game are broadcasted on xm radio, so as a sponser to them team, each player received a free subscription. unbelievable i swear! we didnt ask for this, we didnt pay for it, it just ended up in our lap, lol! Life is good!!!
Ok so back to futbol. Usa is up next, going to be interesting to see how they do against Italy. I wish all my american friends good luck! Mexico tied yesterday and broke my heart, i know they can play so much better, but we still have four points, We are still in it. Bresil didnt play up to par either, as a lot of big name teams havent, but its still only day 9. I am loving angola and trinidad, and paraguay and ivory coast. so many smaller named teams have played with so much heart. I wish everyone could win, but in the end we got to go with Bresil and Mexico!!!!!!
Game on, got to go.....
Updated:
With Ghana winning and upsetting czech repub, USA has to win so all 4 teams will have 3 points. If italy wins they will advance for sure. Ghana is now hoping for a usa win or tie. as i know so is all of the usa, lol! Game on!!!

World Cup Fever
Ok so its killing me im not in germany right now. With our best friends there and several other friends we know all there, i am very jealous. But then again, ze is working and im pregnant. I'd rather go to a world cup where we both can enjoy it! So if not south africa, then the next one, i assume it will be somewhere in south america, so even better.
I have watched every game so far, missing a few minutes here and there due to being a mom, but not much, trust me. I think the game of the tournament so far is by far trinidad and tobago vs sweden. To see players play with such dedication and heart. They played like their mothers lives depended on it, and earned respect from around the world. Many teams have surprised people so far, such as iran, angola, czech repub. Big name countries come into the tournament and everyone assumes they will automatically win and even if they do, the other team does not let them do it very easily. which is what is making this tournament such a memorable one. I just had to give respect to all the under dogs out there.
Tomorrow is a big day in our house. Bresil finally plays it's first game, and we are having a bbq and having people come over to watch it. My husband is already counting minutes till it starts. Its a lot of pressure also to be a the reigning champs, but good pressure none the less. Yesterday Thais wore Mexico colors and i got her clapping and saying "oh" "oh" "oh", which i translated into "mex" "i" "co". but tomorrow, its all papa. She has her bresil outfit, the flags will be hung, the meat will be cooked, and the bresilian beer is in the fridge.
God I love this sport!!!!!

Family
What can I say about the month of May, but it was filled with lots of love and family.
It started off in utah with my grandparents, sister, mother, cousins, aunts, uncles, great aunts, 2nd cousins, my niece and god son, other family and friends, you get the idea. we baptised Thais and now she has her god parents rod and stacy in her life forever. we celebrated all generations of birthdays from 3 yrs old to 81 years old. I spent a few days at the cerementary remebering and teaching thais where we came from and how we got to where we are. Upon returning to Montreal my wonderful husband is playing soccer again and watching him be able to do what he grew up dreaming of, is a dream come true for both of us and now his children can be a part of it also, makes it even sweeter. Then my mother came to visit for the 4th time in 3 years, she is becoming a regular fixture up here. and there is nothing better than having your own mother playing with your own daughter. we took a road trip down south to the states and visited my husbands adopted family in pennslyvania. These are the people who have helped my husband grow from a boy to a man in the last 5 years and we have spent christmas and thanksgiving and birthdays and many of other days with. They are and will forever be a part of our family. and we got to see our brother John graduate from high school. when Ze met him, he was a 12 year old boy and now he is going to college in a few months, it brough tears to my eyes to see him graduate.
I know im pregnant again and my hormones are running highly emotional, but i cant help but be thankful for those in my life and how lucky i am. Ze and I just purchased some more land in bresil for his family and ours, we have had several recent emails and phone calls that have opened many new doors of opportunity to us recently, and we got to see and hear the new baby in our belly, all this past month. Thais turns 8 months this friday and i dont know where the time has gone, but i cant imagine doing a single second of it differently.
So as you can see, a lot has happened in the last few weeks and while i expect it to calm down, i know my life better than that and am staying on my toes. we loaded some new pixs on our web page, and i just wanted to say thanks to all of you for being in my life, each and everyday.

Update Complete
Ok well if the picture didnt say it for me, we are expecting again, and Thais will be a big sister this December. We went to the doctor today and he said we are about 8 weeks pregnant. And has scheduled us for an ultra sound end of May, to get a better idea of dates and to rule out the chance of twins, (my mom is a twin). I cant begin to explain how excited and blessed we feel. And am glad we can share this joy with all of you.
This has been a very busy time for us. Ze just returned to Montreal from a 2 week road trip in Miami and Puerto Rico with his soccer team. We found out we were pregnant, again. Thais and I are flying to Utah from May 9th- May 15th to see our family while Ze goes out of town again with his team. While in Utah, we will be baptizing Thais, celebrating my 28th birthday, along with several other members of my family, and of course, celebrating mother's day. What better present than to find out I will be a mother twice? Along with all of this, May will also included several home games for Ze, my mother coming to visit Montreal and driving down to Pennsylvania with me for a visit the first week of June. So to say the least..... we are staying very busy.
We are always trying to upload new photos to our web pages and update in Thais diary. Guess it is time to start one for the new baby too. We hope you all are well and wish you the best in each and ever day. We couldnt feel more blessed for all that is going on in our lives right now! Take care and we will be seeing many of you, very soon.

1yr anniversary
I just wanted to say thank you for those that called, e-mailed and sent cards or gifts on our first wedding anniversary, yesterday. It was a great day, and all in all, we did nothing. We turned off our cell phones and attempted to not get on the internet. We wanted the day to be spent with just us. We didnt go out to a fancy dinner, we didnt get each other expensive gifts, we simply stayed home and took time to enjoy one another without all the drama or hecticness of our daily lives. We spent the morning in bed with our daughter just watching her and laughing with her. He made dinner, I made the salad and dessert. We ate with the tv off in front of the fireplace., with Thais. Seriously, I couldnt have had a better day.
And as i went to bed last night, unable to sleep for all i could think about was how happy i was with my life and where i am. This past year has been by far the best year of my life. I went from being a woman, to that of a wife and even more so, to that of being a mother. I became a part of a wonderful family and i was able to bring a wonderful man into my family. Its amazing how life works sometimes, and the obstacles that get in your path along the way, but if you truly follow your heart and do what is right in your eyes, you will find happiness.
I know Im not perfect and have made plenty of mistakes in my past, I am ever so thankful though for those I have surrounded myself with. The people in my life, from all aspects from blood to neighbors, have supported me, believed in me and help guide me to who i have become today. So as happy and thankful as I am for my own inner strength, i have to give thanks where thanks is do, and that would be you. Thank you for being in my life. And I thank my husband for allowing me to grow into the person i am now, and to be a part of his life forever. You are mi amor and if this is what marriage and anniversary's are about, I am already counting down the days to March 5th, 2007.

Montreal
We just wanted to let everyone know we are back in Montreal for the
summer. Our 3 month vacation was absolutely amazing and we are so
very thankful to everyone who was able to come see us and meet Thais.
We loved being in San Diego and having our family watch Thais change
and grow bigger everyday, but it was also time for Ze to return to
work and get back to regular life. We are very excited for the
upcoming soccer season. For those that we didnt see, hopefully we will
meet up sooner than later.
Thais is almost 5 months old and is getting so big, so fast. She is
trying to crawl, eating cerel, holding her own bottle, playing with
her feet, everything goes in her mouth, to help ease the pain of her
teeth coming in. Daily she learns or does something new, that just
wows us. I have uploaded 3 albums of photos that have been taken
since the new year. There are tons I just didnt have room for, and so
many i never took, but wish I did.
So let me end here. Thanks again to everyone for being a part of our
lives. We miss you all!

Still Chillin'
Hey all, We are still on holiday in San Diego, so if we havent seen each other yet, better do it soon. Hoping to see each and every one. Thais is great, 3 months old already and cuter than ever, with her smiles and giggles. We are truly blessed and thank God everyday. Hope everyone enjoyed the holidays. With the passing of Tony, I have only realized just how important friends truly are, so make sure to keep in touch. Wishing you all the best....
