The kids and I are back in Ny with Papa. I worked very hard to get this blog up to date. I have added 25 new posts in the last 2 days. So the best way to view them is to go page by page and click "Older Posts" located at the bottom right corner of each page. You can also just click on the month of May since thats when our adventures began and read upward. I wish there was a faster way to share all of our pictures and adventures but I want to make sure everyone really sees all that we did. It was an amazing month of beach, pool, parks, play dates, zoo's, disneyland, birthdays, camping, desert, atv's, rivers, dogs, tortoises and most importantly.... family and friends. Have fun looking back at our past month and dont forget to comment. Im sure there are tons of questions and funny stories to be said. Looking forward to them.
Thx!

Home Coming
We woke up early and packed up our things and just as we were getting ready to leave a huge rain storm came, but off we went anyways. Returned the rental car, took the shuttle to the airport and boarded our first plane. Both kids fell right asleep but Tiago woke up Thais and she wasnt happy about that for a good 30 mins. Finally she settled down and we landed in Chicago. The next plane we had a great people around us who played with both kids the entire 90 min flight and finally we landed. Papa was waiting for us on the curb and I dont know who was more excited to see who, i ran to him, he ran to me, the kids were screaming.... it was a very cute moment and it felt so right when we just hugged as a family of four. He was holding the kids as I went back and got the car seats and bags. Both fell asleep on the way home as we got a little lost since I couldnt even remember the name of the street we lived on or how to get there. Yes this is our home but we only lived here for 72 hrs before we left for 4 weeks. So upon opening our front door, i still found moving boxes and stuff every where.
The biggest change though is we are officially having the kids share a room. We tried to have them share a room when we brought Tiago home from the hospital and that didnt work, so here we are 17 months later, trying it again and it is working. I have already rearranged the beds and furniture but this picture shows how they slept the first night together in a room. It was great to sleep in the same bed as papa and not have a single kid in our room. Even for me to not have a single kid in my bed as I have had many nights in the last month.
I am so excited to be home, excited to see Papa play for this new team on Sunday with my girl friend Denise and for all the fun summer things we have planned in the coming months. Granted I will be sleeping and cleaning and catching up for a few good days, but you know me. I can never sit still.

Grandma's House
Like I said we went to my Grandma's house and as soon as we walked in the door and smelled the fresh baked bread, we knew it was the right choice. Just kidding, but let me tell you, that bread was gooooood! The kids all ran into the back yard and I had to get pictures of it because this is the same back yard and same swing set i grew up playing in. I played many soccer games with my cousin Rod in this back yard with that swing set as my goal. So it was a special moment for me to see my kids swinging on those swings and kicking the ball with my grandma in that same back yard.
After I said my final good bye to my grandparents since we are flying back to Ny tomorrow, we went and had dinner at the best mexican place in town with my cousin Rod's parents. Then we went to their house afterwards for a few minutes and we were supposed to go have dessert at another cousins house but we called it a night and collapsed on the couch to a good movie and went to sleep.

Speaking of the past
We went to my grandma's house afterwards and I walked around and took photos of pictures she had hanging in her house of her and my grand father when they were younger. I love these pictures so much I had to share...

Cemetery Visit
*WARNING* If you are offended by the sites of graves, please skip this post.
Memorial day was officially Monday and while I came to the cemetery on that day, we did not decorate it that day. It was so crowded and packed, but we did stop by. So today when the crowds were all gone, we came to trim the lawn and plant some flowers. The family that I have that is passed is all buried right next to each other here in Utah at the same place. So the only time I ever come here is when i am in Utah, but I make sure to come every time and take pictures of the kids as they grow older every time we come. I know some people might find it odd but to me, this is a place to enjoy. Just like the day of the dead in the mexican culture, coming here while I know this is not where their spirits are, I still enjoy coming here and hanging out. It is just respectful to me and especially on memorial day while I know it is usually meant for veterans of war, it has turned into remembering all of those that have passed. And that is what we did.
My cousin Tina also has her daughter Angelita (Linda's twin) buried here and her kids always come and leave gifts for their sister. So we came today and had a picnic and just sat in the grass and soaked in the sun. It was very peaceful.

Mikey's Night
As if this day wasnt long enough already... well it got even longer. My cousin Mikey is in a band called "Her Candane" and is a part of a larger group of bands called the BroShip, even have tattoos on the under side of their wrists to prove it. Anyways he is super busy and was supposed to go to this girls birthday party, so instead he switched the birthday to his sister Tina's house and we had a whole lot of band guys and a few girls show up at our house and drank all night long. I didnt get any group pixs and I really didnt talk much with anyone else, I was just happy to be hanging out with my 3 cousins. It was a fun night!!

Tai's House
After picking the girls up from school, we went over to my cousin Tai's house. His son TaiJon was born July last year and I had yet to met him. Upon arrival though we learned he had fractured his arm a few days earlier but it didnt stop him from still being the cutest thing ever. Tai has 2 step kids and they were there with their friends plus our kids made for a whole bunch of kids. It was fine though, they had tons of stuff to play with including a huge trampoline and Tina and I got to visit with our cousins. The last picture is of my God daughter Lydia and Tai is her God Father, so it is rare when she gets a picture with both of her God Parents together, so we took it. We will be printing and framing that one for her. And in case you had not noticed so far, Tina is Tiago's God Mother, so she is ALWAYS holding him, lol!

Play Parks
So when Tuesday came around it was time for errands and back to real life. We had to get the girls to school and go to the post office and do this and go here and pick this up. It was a day full of errands but luckily we had the dvd players set up in the car and the kids didnt seem to mind too much. We also stopped off at a park with 3 of them and then went to the girls school early so the same 3 could play and then when the girls did get out of school, we stayed longer so they all could play on the play ground. We also had Tina's oldest son Beto who is on summer vacation already, so now we had 8 kids. Good times, lol!
