Saturday

I am loving this weekend so much. You see, we dont have a lot of days of everyone off work, so we took advantage of it and the good weather and off to the beach we went as a family. Not the same beach as usual, either. I knew there would be a bit of a breeze at the beach, so we went to the San Diego Bay instead. The water is usually warmer and there are no waves plus it has a huge grass area and play ground, so we packed a lunch and off we went. It was a beautiful day, i mean breath taking.

Thais wanted her bathing suit even to just play at the play ground, so I only got one picture of her in her dress.

My babies

Jordan is a cheer leader, so I had to show off my old cheer leading skills, with kart wheels and round offs. Let me warn, it had at least been 10 yrs if not more since i had attempted a kart wheel. Then I ended up doing 4 in a row. It wasnt pretty but it was fun!

Then Tiago gets in on the action

We then did races and all kinds of stuff

After some lunch, we packed up our stuff, put in the car, then walked over to the beach. Bay sand is very different than beach sand. The bay is all soft sand, like quick sand and lots of living animals, so you have to be careful, but its very educational too. We found live clams and all kinds of sea animals, which would explain all the small birds in the sand too, looking for shrimp and so on. I thought the kids might find the water too cold, but of course not. We didnt even get tiago in his swim trunks, but that didnt stop him, he dove right in. He had so much fun!

Yes thats our view

and the island in the middle of the bay, yes those are houses.

Rod and Stacy walking with the kids on the beach

Kicking water on each other seemed to be the game of the dy

and then they get all wild and crazy

Yes i had to roll my skirt so I could get out there with the kids

Even Tiago is on the fun of kicking water

A video papa took

and if you thought our day ended there, your WAAAAAAAY wrong. We came home, the kids took naps and I went for a walk and did the stairs and a small work out. You have to see these stairs I walked and with my bad knees, it was a lot harder than i thought.

oh and while we were gone, i guess Kobae wasnt too happy and pushed some chairs into the pool. Guess he wanted to go to the beach too.

And then..... once the kids woke up, we all loaded up into 2 cars and picked up some diner and went to see the the new baby Katia. It worked out great, Ann had her nieces there so the kids had more kids to play with. It was a great night and yet another great way to end a great day/ weekend.

Stacy finally getting some baby time

and then Jordan got her time too.

The Day After

Well after spending the day eating and doing nothing on Thanksgiving, I woke up with fire under my arse to get out and do something and thats just what we did. My mom was off with the rental car shopping on black friday, so papa and I loaded up the kids in the wagon and off to the park we went. Its actually my old elementary school, that used to just be a big dirt field as their play ground, now has a huge grassy area and play ground. It was perfect for us. I took off to do some jogging while papa stayed with the kids and the camera.

My little monkey boy

After about an hour or so, we loaded up and started back home, only to find a huge amount of leaves and Thais wanted to play in them, so we did.

Once we finally made it home, the kids wanted to go swimming in their pool, but they found the sand box which had tons of rain water in it, making a big puddle of mud, was much more fun. I thought it was disgusting, but figured it was better to be outside then in, so i left them for awhile, while I made lunch.

and some of the black friday gifts....

Dominick went with my mom and got his Christmas present early, a video game chair with built in speakers, he loves it and was well deserved.

The kids had lunch and passed out for naps, only to wake up and get to make cookies with nana. It was another great day!
