Easter Sunday

He has risen! I love the bible story of Easter. I mean really, the guy died, his body was placed in a tomb covered by a huge rock with guards and yet 3 days later he is walking around. Talk about a freaking miracle, but we are talking about God and Jesus so anything is possible. I know my kids do not get the whole reason behind Easter but they do get some of it and as they get older they will understand more. For now, we celebrate, the egg is a token of new life wether they know it or not. The cracking of the egg is know for being born just like Christ. Its all tied together, gifts and presents to celebrate his rising again. Love, love, love it! 

We have another fun day of gifts, church, more egg hunts and finally a family dinner.

She was dressed up too but was not in the photo mood. She is a terror at church, one of the main reasons we hardly go right now, she doesnt understand the quite part and I refuse to put my kids in day care at church. They have to learn one way or another.

Easter Egg Hunts

Busy busy with tons of fun. We usually go the local rec center to do their easter egg hunt, heck Thais even won it last year when she got the special egg for the giant gift basket, but this year we thought we would try something different. The grocery store was having an egg hunt on the produce department, so we went and did that. It was interesting to say the least, looked hilarious but hey... defently different. Kids got to play some games, bunny hop, etc and take pictures with the Easter bunny, then it was off to Cornado for their annual Easter egg hunt. I really like this one because the big kids have the chance to do an egg hunt every 30 minutes and the little kids have their own rooms inside the rec to search for eggs in, plus they have a giant size candy land game. This is where we will go each year for sure! Fun times, Zico first Easter and Bita understood it a bit more after awhile. Im just happy to spend the day together as a whole family, since the boys had no soccer today and we skipped Thais's swim. Some days, especially holidays, you just need to.
