Last Day of 2012

My friends Katie, Matt and baby Diego left this morning, they drove down last night from a few days in LA but left at 6am this morning. Im glad we had our few days but it didnt feel long enough, I miss them already! My brother and niece also drove down from LA yesterday so we had a full house sleeping under one roof. And we also have my aunt's dog Ozzy for the weekend which has lead to some interesting times. This morning we walked 5 kids, 3 adults, 2 dogs and a giant tortoise to the park. It was hilarious! Like I told Katie, sometimes I feel like my life is a circus but honestly I love it!

The afternoon included my mom and bro taking the kids to the movies, me and papa trying to fix his computer but it is officially dead, papa gambled and lost, i went and bought everything at Target in the 70% off section. It was fun though! Ended 2011 doing the things we all love to do, but most importantly we are all together. Its now 15 minutes till New Years and I cant help but think of all the places I have spent New Years and crazy things we have done, yet sitting in this house, in San Diego with my 3 sleeping babies is really the best way I could think of spending it. 2011 was a trying year for us in many ways but we were also blessed with our sweet baby girl Tatiana, cant be more blessed than that. I am so thankful for all we have and am looking forward to 2012. I believe I have become a better person all around and am on my way to being even better than I am now. So excited for the New Year!!!

Happy New Years to all my friends and family world wide!

Arts and Crafts

So I am making a dent in the list of things I wanted to get done over the holiday break. Remember I said I didnt want to travel or have play dates, I wanted to stay home and get stuff done. I cleaned my room, then I cleaned Thais's room, I have never seen Thais's drawers as organized as they are now. I even cleaned the bathroom, and I dont mean scrub, I mean go through old medicines, organize Thais hair things, throw away old bath toys, organize the junk drawer, it felt great! So with all those done, I still have many more rooms to do but we moved on to the arts and crafts portion of my list. My mom tries to take the kids to Lowes or Home Depot each Saturday for the wooden crafts. Several times they dont have time to build the project there so they bring it home and we have been saving them for a rainy day project but it doesnt rain much here, so we finally did them all TODAY! And we painted them all, even the ones that were already built. This took a lot longer than I ever imagined but the kids had fun. They started all the projects, weather painting first or building first, but of course I ended up finishing them. All good, they all came out fantastic!

Tiago built first
and Thais painted
Ozzy stayed in the shade
and Bita hung out in the pak n play
So cute!
Many many projects to go
painted one side, waiting to dry to paint the other side
how we hung the tow truck to dry to keep the white string white lol!
Now Tiago is painting
Thais didnt want a monster truck so she painted it pink and purple and called it her princess truck, hey why not?
all of our finished products. Shelves, frames, snowman napkin holders, Christmas trains, shool lockers, airplanes, helicopters, police cars, Santa Sleighs, tow trucks, Monster/ Princess Trucks, Ping Pong game, Monster Machine, and bed side cubby to name a few lol!

Sockers Game

What do families do during break? Thats right, watch sports! On Thanksgiving Americans watch NFL games, on Christmas we watch the NBA, well that also means all the players on those team have to work. Ever since I have met papa, he has always played on holidays or day before or after and this year is no different. Its game time! The Sockers are in a nationwide tournament that allows any team even my neighbor's team to try and win the Open Cup Tournament and tonight was the first game for us and thankfully we won, so we moved to the next round of the tournament. Below are some articles and videos. The photo grapher I used to get photos from before isnt posting as many, so I may have to get down there and start taking some of papa again. For now all I got is Bita drooling over the bag of kettle corn popcorn that is bigger than her lol!

The Day After

Our friends have gone to LA for a few days, the fridge is so full of left overs, the wrapping paper and boxes have taken up our entire front office and toys are scattered EVERY WHERE!!! Yep its the day after Christmas alright. I am hoping to use this week to get caught up around the house. I am starting with the kids rooms and purging toys, clothes, furniture they dont use or fit them on hopes to fit their new things into their drawers and rooms. I actually started with my own room first, I got rid of all the clothes that are too big for me. Which leaves me with very little but thats ok. The others wer ejust taking up space in my room. Once the upstairs is done, then we will move to the downstairs and eventually to the garage. I really want to start 2012 on a clean slate and I mean that in every way. I am not planning any play dates or visits any where just so we can stay home and work on the house. The kids are LOVING vacation, staying up late, sleeping in late, who am I kidding, i am LOVING it lol! Not looking forward to 6am mornings again. I got a week so Im going to enjoy it and hopefull ymake the most of it.

I love babies, kids, animals and plants. I like to see things grow and I like to nurture them, sadly Im not very good at plants. I really wish to have a garden and trees, but every time I try we move or the lizards eat all my sun flowers, or Kobae steps on them or eats them, something always happens. So for Christmas I bought myself 2 fruit trees as my own gifts to myself and finally yesterday papa planted them for me. We planted them up high, Im not sure they are in enough sun but we are going to try it here for now. Here's hoping they survive!!
The hole papa dug (at night, may I add with a bbq cooking tool lol)

Christmas 2011

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to one and all! I want to take this time to thank you for "being" in our lives and being a part of our history. Another year of blogging is in the books, more memories made, love shared and of course babies born and those who we lost this year, including my Aunt Val. Love to everyone!

Now on to our actual morning. Thais woke up at 6:30am but my mom was able to keep her watching tv till about 7:30 when Tiago finally woke up. So we made our way downstairs by 8am. Matt, Katie and Diego joined us, along with my mom and my family of 5. The Medels joined us around 10am for round 2 of gift opening and breakfast.
The day was full of foods, naps, gifts, and all 3 again. The dads went for a run and Katie and I took the babies in strollers for a walk. The weather has just been amazing especially if your from Detroit lol! Sadly our guests left for LA for a few days before they return Friday night to catch their flight Saturday morning. I am so blessed they choose to spend Diego's first Christmas with us, this is a holiday I will never forget.

As for the kids, they usually make a list of 4 or 5 things they ask Santa for Christmas and we try to make sure they get it. Then we throw in a few things we get on black Friday sales and of course their gifts from our out of town relatives too! we are so blessed in so many ways, and am grateful for all we have received. Let me say it again, Merry Christmas!!!
