2010 Wrap Up

My girlfriend Mely reminded me I used to do a wrap up at the end of each year on my blog and I completely forgot. It was fun to see all the traveling, exploring and moving we did in 12 months all wrapped up in 20 photos. So when it came time to do this years, I thought... oh this is going to be boring. We didnt move once this year, what am I going to post about? But to my surprise, we actually did a lot this year, so much that i cant even post all of it (thankfully). So before we look forward to 2011 and all the amazing things I hope for this New Year, lets look back at 2010 and remember all the fun we had.

We started the year off being as active as we could in the "cold" with roller skating

and receiving their gym and ballet medals

In Feb, we went down to Mexico for a day and the kids enjoyed Mexican beaches just like they do San Diego beaches

and we took a trip to Disneyland

I spent a lot of time planning reunions and catching up with all my friends now that I was back in San Diego for "good". This is my college soccer team reunion

and this is my middle school and high school reunion we had

In March, papa and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary at the exact beach spot we got married

and then took a visit to see my dad in Moab Utah for 2 weeks

and then to Salt Lake City to see more of my family for another week

We returned in San Diego in the spring and took in as much culture as we could

and spent many days at the beach of course

In May after 2 beach soccer tournaments and a 6v6 tournament

We flew east to Pennsylvania and packed up the rest of our stuff while visiting Maryland and New Jersey too

June was by far the busiest month, starting with the World Cup that literally took over our lives for 2 months

Then my Godson graduated high school and we had close to 50 family members in town for 2 weeks

Which meant lots of swimming in our newly renovated pool and beach time

The Lakers won the championship for the 2nd year in a row

and 2 weeks later we got the best news possible

July we spent with lots of kids all month as my cousin came to visit

And we either were going up to LA for 4th of July at the galaxy game

Or my brother coming down to San Diego for comic con

August was full of fun, now that our guests were gone, we fully enjoyed our first summer in San Diego as a family with trips to the beaches and parks

We went to the Del Mar horse races

and to Chargers training camp

Even the zoo and several local museums

Then it was time for our trip to Brasil for a whole month, we started off in Sao Luis on Vacation with all of papa's family including meeting Gabriel for the 1st time

We spent 3 weeks in papa's small town and had several soccer charity events

For one night papa had 3 of his 5 sisters in the same room

Then just us 4 went back to the beach for a few days all while pregnant. It was a long and sometimes hard journey but the memories made were so worth it

Oct- While in Brasil Thais turned 5 yrs old but we had her party when we got back

we finally got to see baby #3 on an ultra sound

and went to Disneyland for some trick or treating

and celebrated yet another Halloween in SD

Nov started with me flying to the east coast for the TLC web series final episode and the first time I was away from my kids overnight by myself in their entire lives

Then my baby girl started pre school and proved just what a big girl she was

and papa started his 2nd season with the San Diego Sockers

and lastly December was spent with family and in the holiday spirit but not before we celebrated Tiago's 4th birthday

The kids 1st visit to Legoland

and to see Santa of course

and ending our year as we started and for the last time, as a family of 4

Last Day of 2010

I had these free mini golf coupons that were set to expire today because of the end of the year, so papa and I took the kids to play mini golf and enjoy a couple hours out and about before the end of the year came. Its chilly outside in the 40's at night and 50's in the day, for us thats cold, but if your right in the sun shine your ok. Not beach weather though and still have rain on and off and still lots of flooding and puddles. Even in mini golf, we had several of the holes that were flooded and we just skipped them. We just walked the course last time but this time I wanted to actually play it. It took a lot of patience and a lot of rule bending but we finally made it through all 18 holes. Tiago kept thinking it was like baseball and Thais wasnt hitting the ball hard enough. Opposites of course, but when Thais did it right, she has a great shot and Tiago liked kicking the ball into the hole, hey cant blame him, it is easier, lol! The hardest part was taking turns and waiting on the sidewalk but it taught them a lot of things and thats the important part. They then rode some rides and I think Tiago could have freaked out, but today he did really good and papa and I were really proud of him. He could have cried at any moment but Thais's laughter and papa and I screaming good cheers, i think helped. After the rides we gave them each $1 to play video games and get tickets before we finally left and went grocery shopping. Upon returning home, we found my brother and niece were here from LA. Since then I havnt seen much of the kids but we did get some snacks and pizza and watch the Lakers win, then watched a movie. We paused the movie at midnight to do a countdown and a cheers toast at 12am, then went back to our movie before bed. It was a relaxing way to bring in the New Year and my 1st New Years sober in a many many years and it was very nice. 2011 has a lot of hope and promise but i will get into that in my next post. For now pixs of our last day together in 2010.

Tee- Time for Thais

and Tiago

We did the fairy tale land course and here is the old lady who lived in a shoe

My girl concentrating

Help from papa which she did not like, she wanted to do it herself, lol!

A video of an entire hole, notice how hard it is to wait your turn, and get out of the way

Onto the rides. Tiago is all smiles before the ride begins

Thais had her hands up and was laughing and screaming, Tiago was holding on for dear life just trying to smile, lol!

Up in the bus that went forwards and backwards

Thais wanted to dance so I let her. Not sure she understood it was game she was just having fun dancing around

So much fun we did it twice while the boys played air hockey

and finally our toast at midnight. Yes all 3 kids were wide awake at 12am, im surprised I made it though, lol!

Happy New Year Everyone!
