Monday again? So soon? Once again a week of nothing and everything at the same time. Not too many activities but we sure are busy. Lots of shopping, using our gift cards, returning things we ended up not using and different sizes. Its been an effort but its been fun too. I even got papa to go along with me on Saturday while my mom had the older kids. Its funny for us to be alone with the baby, for it seems like we are starting all over but its a nice reminder and quality time too. It's amazing how much I enjoy spending quality time with each child for they are each very different. Thais loves to color, draw and design, another post on that later. Tiago of course loves to play with car or trains or soccer but recently he has taken a liking to coloring and playing games too. Then my sweet Tatiana, can stay awake close to 2 hours now and sleeps in just over 4 hour blocks. Her bright eyes and moving her head to sound, her smiles and frowns, grunts and farts, I know she doesnt do much but I could watch her all day. To someone else our days may seem boring but Im loving all this time with my kids right now. I know it wont last forever or be like this for too long, I feel like this is the quite before the storm, but Im loving it for now.
- Thais saw a relaxation technique on tv the other day and now she uses it when she is mad. We remind her a lot but its working and we crack up and it makes her forget what she was even upset about. Imagine her closing her eyes, taking a few deep breathes and then swaying her hands and hips like a hula dancer to each side. So funny!
- both kids seem to have a lot more energy since the baby was born. My logic to this I am just that much more tired so it seems they are more energized and also we are not doing as much or going to the park as much with the cold weather so they have more energy to burn too. They are all over the house and great at playing together upstairs but wow what a mess they leave. Last few days been pretty good about cleaning it up. Thais and I have a new system that I make a pile of all that needs to be put away in the middle of her room and she seems to put it away rather quickly. Sure I could just out it away but hen she wouldnt learn and I think when she sees what needs to be ut away its easier than just seeing a messy room and not knowing where to start.
- speaking of playing together, Tiago is Thais's shadow. He wont leave her alone, heck he even follows her and I onto the bathroom. I forget to lock the door but lately i remember right as i sit down and just as I lock it, i hear him slam into it, thinking it is unlocked. Its actually pretty funny, lol! Thais was sent to her room for something and he followed her. If she is dancing he will dance, or color and he is always saying, "I just want to be with my sister" even if she is playing princess he will ask "can I be the prince?" She doesnt mind at all, she always allows trains into her fairy tales so it works out.
- kids have really been into paper airplanes as of late and Rod and Stacy make good ones. we had a big bbq yesterday and they had each person make a different kind, I think Tiago has 12 paper airplanes, a rocket ship out of a paper towel holder and a paper boat I tried to make off the internet in a box. It has lead to a lot of ducking and getting smack in the middle of my forehead but we are trying to control it. How can you be mad about paper airplanes? Between his paper planes and her drawing designs, i think we have killed at least 1 acre of a rain forest. I feel horrible but they are such healthy ways of play, Im over looking our effect on the planet.
- Tiago is still full of questions. I know some may question how honest I am with them but thats just me and my parenting stlye. Got to be honest. He asked "Why do people get pregnant?" and i answered, "to have babies" and he asked "why do people want more babies?" and I answered "so we can have kids like you?" and he said "But mommy there is only 1 of me, you cant have more me's!" Kids got a point!
- speaking of Tiago, I received his pre school registration papers in the mail and Im freaking out. I refuse to fill them out, 1- im in denial, my baby boy cant be going to school. I know I have already had him an extra yr but still... im not ready to deal with that. Thais is my oldest and that was hard enough but Tiago has been my baby for the last 4 yrs till 3 weeks ago and Im just not ready for him to go. 2- im not sure he will go to the same school as Thais. Yes I love the school, teachers, price, location, and its in a church but boys seem to need a "different" way of learning and I believe he falls in that category. He is very picky about things being in the right place and order and he likes to cook and garden he is a more montessori type of kid but we dont have any in our neighborhood so I really have to think this one over. 3- he says he doesnt want to go to school, so this will make it even harder. Its a $100 deposit to hold his place so im not sure what Im going to do yet.....
- i will quickly list the amount of movies I have watched in the last few weeks. The last few days before Tatiana was born we watched a lot and now I watch even more in the middle of the night. I love having a dvr to record my shows but its been empty because Im watching my shows that night, lol! the good girl, day zero, monday- extrdonary measures, hollywood homicide, sunday- date night w/ family, ice dreams on hall mark, saturday- duplicity, pretty woman, run away bride- julia night , 127 hrs in moab, lifetime movies- found son 17 yrs later, and crazy suragate mother, gracies choice adopting her siblings, homeless to harvard , invictus, opera network - behind the scenes, searching for family, our america. I watch sports center and the news every morning about 4am too, lol! If anyone has any good movies or tv shows, let me know, im in need of more stuff to watch during my 2am and 4 am feedings. thanks!
- Thais's teachers let her sing 1 song at school each day and today they actually video taped her, even brought some other church employees in the room for a small concert. At the end one of the ladies asks her what she wants to be when she grows up and while everyone is expecting her to say, singer, dancer, actress she replies with "A Scientist". Cracked everyone up!
My happy girl smiling on Friday

While I shopped, papa enjoyed the chairs at babies r us on Saturday. We have never owned a rocker and while he enjoyed it, i then told him it was $700. He didnt like it as much anymore, lol!

Using the sling and she loves it. This is how I was at papa's soccer game and legoland and around the house a few times.

Tiago playing an alphabet game

My son likes to make booby traps, he used to make them by the front door and we seriously got our necks stuck in them so after getting in trouble for that he has moved to closing his sisters drawers so she cant get to any of her clothes.
